Not true in this case - MAS-1 topics spanned several college courses.

MAS I is difficult in the sense that there is a lot of material, but a lot of it is memorizing formulas and plugging numbers in. In LTAM you also have to memorize formulas and that will allow you to do well on the multiple choice part, but the long answer questions really require total understanding of the material.

I guess there aren't too many people out there who have sat for both, but I would be interested in knowing their views.
