Default 2018 MLC Date?

Do any of you guys know when the Spring 2018 MLC sitting will be? I would like to go to Coachella Weekend 2 (April 20-22) but I'm not sure if MLC is going to be on the Tuesday of that week (April 24th) or the Tuesday after (May 1st). I work in the east coast so I probably wouldn't attend Coachella if MLC were on that same week.

You could call the SOA office and ask them if it has been set yet.

Just called SOA Customer Service and they said the date won't be announced until the summer or fall. Welp.

Is this MLC spring sitting ineligible for counting towards obtaining ASA by July?

Yes, that is correct. You must pass the Fall 2017 sitting to have a result in time for the June list.

Is it possible for me to get ASA before the changes if i pass mlc this october, and grind through FAP in spring?

Its possible but there's essentially no room for error. You should start modules immediately after you take MLC in October to try and get this done

Can someone clarify for me: to be get admitted as an ASA under pre 7.1.18 requirements you must pass the 2017 fall MLC sitting (along with any of the other components), correct? And by passing 2018 spring sitting for MLC you are only guaranteed the transition credit under the post-7.1.18 requirements and you'd have to fulfill the additional requirements by then if you're not an ASA by then. I just want to make sure there is a potential benefit to continue sitting for this exam for next spring if needed. Thanks.
