No shiznit. I was in the middle of reading this five-page thread when, after turning from page 4 to what should have been page 5, I noticed it had dwindled down to only two pages.

Awesome parlor trick, Mod1. Can you do that with James Joyce's Ulysses? I still got close to 300 pages to go in that book. (Pretty good read, though.)
And P.S., Thank you for that because reading this once-five-page thread was a complete waste of time.

u snooze, u lose

Very high level answers:
1. Each poster is responsible for his (her) own conduct.
2. The name of the social group has been changed by Tom to clarify its purpose (that's a new freebie answer; it wasn't in what I deleted.)

But what about your post count? It is bad enough for our post counts to be destroyed by distant "mods", but to destroy your own post count like that?

But thank you. It was painful watching you spin your wheels and not make any headway.

You know what this thread could use? Tunes!

Well, here I'm rollin' down another sunny highway,
been in the sun too long.
I'm goin' coconuts but least I'm goin' my way,
I'll prob'bly be here when that sun goes down.

I wanna live it up, wanna quit my job,
tell the boss to go to hell.
I ain't complainin', you do the best with what you got.
I know you're laughin' 'cause it's easy to tell

I'm goin' crazy,
goin' crazy,
oo, from the heat.

Remember dancing on the pier last night?
Got drunk and fell into the water.
The big policeman wasn't laughing, didn't blink an eye,
he said, "You're messin' with the mayor's daughter."

Don't tell me, "Give it up", too busy getting down,
I learned my lessons well.
You get it goin' and you don't never stop.
I know you're laughin' 'cause it's easy to tell

I'm goin' crazy,
goin' crazy,
oo, from the heat.

Goin' crazy,
goin' crazy,
oo, from the heat.

Goin' crazy,
goin' crazy,
oo, from the heat.

Goin' crazy,
goin' crazy,
oo, from the heat.

When a poster posts inappropriate things, even if that poster was harassed, that poster can be banned for it. Mod 1, Tom, et al have been pretty clear about that for as long as I can recall. I don't understand why you find that such a difficult concept.

So my question is do the Mods have the powers of these bans too or does it have to be metted out by Tom alone?

Mods can give infraction points that lead to an automatic temporary ban. Only Tom has the authority to impose a permanent or long-term ban.
