Default Pet insurance Rates

Hey! Does anybody know if in general are pet insurance rates are issued on an attained age basis, or issue age?

I imagine that age is simply part of the rating . . . like health insurance for people humans.

I also imagine that with a (much) shorter life-span than humans, at least for most pets, that age of the pet will not be nearly as big of a factor in determining rates . . . and that characteristics of the owner will have a bigger influence on final costs than general characteristics of the pet.
I find your lack of faith disturbing

Why should I worry about dying? Itís not going to happen in my lifetime!

In general attained age, though I know of at least one company based on issue age.

In China, it is based on attained age. But the product may not be based on each separate age but on the age band like 1-4 age, 5-8 age, etc.
