I actually have felt the same about the screen size on my EVO as I have with my television: it feels massive when your first get it, but it feels smaller and smaller each day. You'll definitely get used to it.

My wife and I were just talking about that Hardee's Thickburger commercial where the first guy is freaking out about how small the second guy's hands are. Turns out the burger is just huge and his hands are fine.

I often joke that my iPad is a phone and hold it to my ear. It's good for a few laughs--even more one day when I drop it doing that.

No way. An iPad is a worse phone that the iPhone. Just barely.

To bring this thread back around, here are my favorite apps. All these are free:
1) Handcent SMS (hat tip to E)
2) Twicca twitter client
3) Astro file browser (hat tip to E)
4) Dropbox
5) Dolphin Browser HD
6) MortPlayer media player

I wish more programs came with widgets.
OK, I've downloaded Astro file and Dolphin Browser HD. Maybe I'll look into the others as well.

Any other suggestions?

This is what I have:
Advanced Task Killer
AP Mobile
Astrid Tasks
Astro file
Barcode Scanner
Bonsai Blast
Dolphin Browser HD
Facebook
Google Maps navigation
Pandora Radio
Shazam

If you read feeds in Google Reader, NewsRob Pro is a must-have.

Also, the Gesture Search app is my #1 way to look up contacts, apps, and anything else on my Droid.

Weather Bug is not as slick as the weather app that came with my Incredible, but it has more and better information.

Goggles by Google is a nice scan app that can also scan images, such as famous paintings, the covers of books (for when Borders has covered the bar code with their sticker ), etc.
