I've listened a few times, but I have no idea how to narrow down my votes.

1. 65daysofstatic - Radio Protector: The D&B parts didn't really work for me.

2. Atomic Rooster - Gershatzer: A little overly proggy but entertaining. would get points in a less-competitive round.

3. Bearcubbin'! - Solid Gold Monster Truck: Pretty catchy, I really enjoy this style. 2 points

4. Ben Prunty - Hacking Malfunction (Battle): He's mostly known for video game soundtracks, particularly this one. I have a playlist of just his stuff with about 150 tracks that gets a ton of play at work. most of his stuff is a little more down-tempo than this particular track. Mine

5. Daniel Avery - Stereo L: Reminds me of downtempo Aphex Twin. 1 point

6. In Flames - Man Made God: Pretty fun, a little more traditional metal than I like, but good. 1 point

7. Intervals - Touch and Go: The sweet spot metal instrumental of the round for me. Any metal with a sexy groove to it usually hits the spot. 3 points

8. Jaga Jazzist - Animal Chin: A little out there even for me, but pretty cool nonetheless. 1 point

9. Ozric Tentacles - White Rhino Tea: Enjoyed this a bit more than the other older prog instrumental. 1 point

10. Worakls - Porto (Original Mix): I'll steal a line from AM and say that this one is repetitive, but it's my kind of repetitive. A little Iberian flair is always nice. 2 points

11. Forest Swords - Ljoss: another good track that would get points in an easier round.

Not a lot of comments this time around. All songs were point-worthy, but wanted to award the ones I really liked.

3pts:
Worakls

2pts:
Ben Prunty
Ozric Tentacles
Bearcubbin'

1pt:
Intervals
Daniel Avery

Mine:
65daysofstatic - one of my favorite instrumental bands. Their early stuff is pretty similar to this - fast-paced and just a lot going on. Their newer stuff is a bit more composed. Got to see these guys live in the UK 5 years ago in a bar that fit about 100 people. One of the best shows I've ever been to.

As I stated earlier, this was one of the best BotB rounds ever for me. After several listens, I cut a point from every song, then went through the laborious exercise of finding three more points to punt. Some really good songs getting zero points here.

65 Days of Static - Radio Protector
I really like the driving piano line and the build up. My biggest complaint here is the washiness of the drum mix.

Atomic Rooster - Gershatzer
Classic. I have to admit, though. I'm spoiled by modern day production. The out-of-time / out-of-tune notes are everywhere and they are jarring compared to today's production standards.

Bearcubbin'! - Solid Gold Monster Truck - 3 Points
OMFGWTFBBQ. I love everything about this. The time-signatures, rhythms, and instrumentation here is absolutely killer. Those drums are huge, too. This is fantastic.

Ben Prunty - Hacking Malfunction (Battle) - 3 Points
FTL is one of my absolute favorite games ever and the music in it is incredible. I love the layers and how the music expands or contracts based on your battle situation. When I write my own video game music, it is very heavily influenced by this kind of stuff.

Daniel Avery - Stereo L
I'm a fan of the groove and instrumentation here. A solid chill song. It does get a bit repetitive, though.

In Flames - Man Made God
I've always been a little 'meh' on In Flames. Mostly because of their singer, but their writing has never really wow'd me much either. This is fine, and it's certainly in my wheelhouse, it's just a little too straightforward and thrashy for my tastes.

Intervals - Touch and Go - Mine
I saw Aaron Marshall on tour with Plini a few years ago and it's to this day one of the best shows I've ever been to. The technical prowess here is simply insane, and the composition and tone texture is incredible.

Jaga Jazzist - Animal Chin - 3 Points
I love everything about this. The chords, the structure, the time signatures, the off-beat syncopapation, the instrumentation. This is fantastic.

Ozric Tentacles - White Rhino Tea - 1 Point
Probably my singlular favorite psychedelic rock band out there. The musicianship displayed is other-worldly. It's hard for me not to directly compare this to Atomic Rooster - you'll find no out-of-time / out-of-tune notes here, and that's 100% because of musicianship.

Worakls - Porto (Original Mix) - 1 Point
Never heard of this dude before, but this is positively delightful.

Forest Swords - Ljoss
Good stuff.

It seems the drummer is the lead on most of their songs. I'm really digging them.

Interesting round. Definitely far from my favorite. I usually multitask when listening, and instrumentals make it very hard for something to stand out from whatever else I'm doing. So they were all mostly a blur to me. I had noted a few that stood out in a positive way and a couple in a negative way. And alas, here we are.

3 points - Worakls

2 points - 65 Days of Static, Jaga Jazzist

1 point - Atomic Rooster, Daniel Avery, In Flames, Ozric Tentacles
