Job Description - U.S. Benefits Health and Welfare Advisor
Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma (just north of Tulsa)

The Advisor for US Benefits Health and Welfare is responsible for planning, evaluation, design, integration, and oversight of delivery for various US Health and Welfare benefit plans for the Company. The incumbent will be expected to be a Company-recognized expert on the assigned US Benefits Health and Welfare plan benefits and to represent the Company internally and externally in related benefits matters. The incumbent will be expected to develop solutions to complex new problems and to lead interdisciplinary project teams with members from other Company business units and staffs and external vendors.

The Advisor, US Benefits Health and Welfare may be responsible for:
Studying, analyzing, designing and evaluating various US Benefits Health and Welfare employee benefit plans.
Evaluating and benchmarking assigned current programs to determine competitive posture; developing unique recommendations and solutions to complex issues for review by management.
Working with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), managers and HR Shared Services (HRSS) to obtain initial input and feedback on design and effectiveness of various benefits, including evaluation and recommendations for labor contract negotiations.
Leading projects or participating as a team member in the selection, direction and performance review of benefits consultants, brokers, trustees, vendors etc.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements and managing audits for assigned US Benefits Health and Welfare plans.
Collaborating with legal and tax to track and understand new legislation and regulations to ensure plans stay compliant.
Leading the strategy, planning and design changes in response to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) otherwise known as Health Care Reform
Contributing to development of strategic vision and long and short-range plans for assigned US Benefits Health and Welfare plans, insured and self-insured, including the integration of grandfathered/heritage benefits.
Providing communications, training, and guidance on Plan and compliance requirements for administration to the HRSS and HRBP groups.
For assigned US Benefits Health and Welfare plans, responsible for monitoring, control and trend analysis of benefit costs in conjunction with Accounting/Finance and Treasury.
For assigned US Benefits Health and Welfare plans, providing expert advice to resolve formal claims, lawsuits or agency interventions regarding benefits.

Basic / Required
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Bachelors Degree
8 - 10 years experience in Business, Finance and/or Human Resources

Business, Finance or Human Resources degree emphasis
Experience as a HR Business Partner, Business/Finance Generalist or as an Internal or External Consultant
CPA, PHR / SPHR or other Human Resources, Benefits, or Finance/Accounting certifications
Masters Degree

Candidates for regular U.S. positions must be a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255(a)(1). Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, or J or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
