Default is it a good idea to take advance before core?

I currently have plenty of time because of my medical condition so I want to use my time to combat the most difficult QFI exam before the other two.

Is the advance exam an extension of the core such that take the advance before core is not realistic/a good idea?

I think most people who have gone through the QFI track would tell you core/quant is more difficult than advanced/portfolio.
