I never said i spent any real time on the class. Given, find, picture, any other rational formula you can remember. That's all really. Only time i looked at the notes was monday about three minutes before the quiz.

My fellow students and I in the back of the class usually read the newspaper. As I said, I would answer a question early on to get Shapiro off of my back.

This is the basic strategy for passing the class, and once you start self-studying for the SOA/CAS preliminary exams, you'll realize how much you were *SUPPOSED* to learn during Shapiro's classes.

At least some of the terminology sticks in your head.

As well as how much you COULD have learned had he just put it into some kind of context other than "here are a bunch of formulas"

Anyone here get the PennStater Alumni magazine? I wanted to try to order tickets for one of the games when they go on sale this afternoon but I totally forgot the PennStater at home which has the alumni sale password in it!

Any chance there is anyone here who a) has the magazine and b) has it with them and can give me the password?
