Joining this thread as well, expecting a pass on MAS-I based on the preliminary key. I've heard the two source readings are great, any particular study outlet that is better than others? I've heard good things about Bedford and TIA.

Hi folks --- looks like I'll finally pass MAS-I so I'm joining this party for the spring. I've worked two years in reserving and over a year in pricing and read both source texts previously.

My plan is to re-read all the source texts the use TIA.

The syllabus was a little confusing on the Standards of Practice around estimating unpaid claims, first I just assumed that the version in the Frieldand appendix must be it at about 9 pages, but it specifically excludes the appendixes. So it's referring to an online publication. Download that... Oh it's literally two pages. I guess done and done on reading that. Feels weird because I had left myself a whole Saturday to read it, lol.

Finished chapter 5 of Friedland last night, expecting to read Chapter 6 tonight. So far seems pretty straight-forward, but it looks like sections 3 and 4 are the real meat of the material for reserving, so I expect it to start getting more challenging to get through. Right now I'm thinking if I get any questions that rely exclusively on material in the first 6 chapters, it should be no problem to get full points. That said, I do not have any problem sets that are organized by chapter, so no way to test myself until I buy some sort of study manual or go through every released exam trying to figure out which problems fit into the chapters I've already read.
