I wasn't driving to lunch. I'd already eaten a quick lunch, then I was using the remainder of lunch time to get some personal business done across town.

And I don't work in a retail store, I work in a corporate office of a retail chain, not physically attached to any store. Most of the time when there's a systems problem at a store, the cause is somewhere in the corporate data center, or the store's internet provider or credit card processing company. When it's at the store end, one of us would either talk the store manager through the solution, or use remote access. I never have to visit any of the stores.
"...there are two different types of Christianity. One is a movement of people who want to live and be like Jesus. The other (and far more common, far more powerful) is a civil and political religion that is simply named Christianity. The civil political religion named Christianity is addicted to both political power and violence, and thus finds the message of Jesus offensive."
