Default Thoughts on MAS-I Adapt?

Maybe I'm just spoiled by how good Adapt was for the other pre-lims, but I'm not a huge fan of the MAS-I Adapt system. I think it's unhelpful that it does not contain the subsections of the material and instead only allows quizzes to be constructed from the five general sections.

As a sidenote, I also don't like that the updated quiz generator defaults to creating quizzes of size 1...sounds like a very picky comment, but with how often I personally generate quizzes, it's been annoying for me.

What are your thoughts? What are you using to study for MAS-I?

Im using only asm. I might get adapt if I feel like I'm not being prepared enough using just asm

Just email them and tell them instead of posting here. Maybe they'll make those changes. Or, maybe they use larger groups currently because they don't have a ton of problems. I don't know, but it won't hurt to ask.

I would like more opinions on Adapt for MAS-I; I haven't heard enough. ADAPT was a difference maker for me on FM and MFE. But, if Coaching Actuaries haven't adapted the S, ST, 3/3L, LC, M, MLC material to MAS-I completely, then it may not be worth it. Weishaus's ASM manual has a ton of errors in it. The solutions to past exams is a disaster to navigate, especially for the older exams. I am worried that when it gets to crunch time and I need to take practice exams, his will suck or be error-prone and/or not adapted accurately. I have heard a great deal of positive reviews from a very successful FSA at my company who swears by Mahler, so I may try that. But, ADAPT was so helpful in the past, I may try that first and if it's not good -- and hopefully I'll know! -- then I will try Mahler. Last resort, Weishaus's ASM practice exams. If all this fails, I'm trying Lo's manual in October 2019 -- fingers crossed that doesn't happen!!!
