I'd like to know what the full list of prizes were, how many points you need to be eligible for each and how points are awarded, so I can gauge my 2016 involvement.
So jealous!

What's the exchange rate between SOA points and Pepsi points?

Good question. I'd like to exchange the former for the latter, putting me one step closer to that Harrier jump jet I've got my eye on.

Anyway, why does the SOA think this is useful? I've tended to diagnose the SOA's core institutional problem as being that they try to tackle tasks (in terms of educational and research material) that are poorly suited to the part-time volunteer labor as provided by members. The solutions would be to either maintain a larger full-time staff of actuaries for this work, or to focus on smaller initiatives that can be fully polished even with a smaller time commitment from contributors.

Everything the SOA releases, I kind of think, well I guess that may have sounded like a good idea in committee.

I'll have to check my mom's basement to make sure it wasn't thrown out, but I might be able to find a Pepsi denim jacket I'd be willing to part with.

How do I check my point balance? I am too lazy to figure it out by myself. I recall receiving the email, but didn't read after the first line. I don't like automated personalized e-mails.

At central review, they used to give out amazon.com gift cards; maybe they stopped that.
