I am quite certain that Prometric didn't offer an off-the-shelf solution along those lines. The CAS has been working on developing electronic exams for ages, and hasn't yet succeeded. I gather the usual answer from exam-vendors is "why not just use multiple choice?"

From my knowledge it was due to implementation cost. They've found vendors who can do it but not cost effectively. I do get your point that Prometric doesn't offer anything off the shelf it only serves as a place to do the exam.
