I noticed that people on AO tend to be bad at exams, but generally more persistent. I am not surprised to see some people failing a couple of times before getting to ASA
Pass rates among posters in exam threads tend to far exceed overall pass rates.

I've only managed to pass MFE on the first try. I might have passed C on the first try, but I didn't figure out one of the questions until I was walking out of Prometric.

ACAS here instead of ASA, but I had two fails on my way to associateship:

Failed MFE once due to being underprepared.

Failed 6 once due to it being 6.

What was the difference on your second attempt at 6? Just more hours?

Combination of a second run through the material/additional practice exams (I didn't leave enough time for either on the first attempt because long syllabus is long) and getting slightly easier questions on the second attempt.

Makes sense, thanks. The horror stories with 6 has me nervous, hopefully that'll keep me motivated to put in the necessary hours...
