wouldn't surprise me one bit on something like rush M&A work. hell, my full billable rate more than a decade ago was over 6 hundred/hr. we never billed at stated rates for normal work, but we did charge at 110% of billable rate on M&A work

Do you know what my time is worth now as a consultant?

350/hr

That's about $3,400 per day

I have never seen anything that high.

A very senior director at the Big 4 commands about $4,500 per day, thats about $6-700/hr.

A few partners at my firm have bill rates higher than $1k/hr but I would say $800-$900/hr is more common. I would look for actuaries doing work on brand new regulations to have sky-high bill rates.
