damn even the fellowship market's getting saturated, to a point where exam transcripts are needed to gauge whether they took their exams back when they were easier

it would make more sense to test their actual skills, like get them to complete a case study using GLM bootstrapping for reserves before you hire them, for example

I do know of one very well known company that does that, but I've only encountered one so far. Actually, they didn't ask for my track record (attempts & dates) at the fellowship level, but they did when I was post-associate.

The comment was tongue-in-cheek, but yeah, I'm surprised more places don't do this. At my company we have candidates go through a pretty intense test. Another place I recently interviewed with, that's supposed to be a desirable company to work for, didn't do it and was kind of surprised that they would've just taken me for my word in the interview and what's on my resume.
