Default Why have so many recruiters left DW Simpson in the past couple of years???

It's really disheartening. Simpson used to be great. I attended one of Bob Moran's improv workshops at a conference a few years ago and he was awesome. He and other senior people have since left, and another recruiter I was dealing with (Lindsey Nelson) who had been there for like umpteen years just left, too. What's going on there?

Fine to ask why specific people are leaving, perhaps. We'll be careful about bashing (or even praising) specific firms, including our site sponsor. If people want to comment on specific people, I don't think that's a problem.

Lindsey went to CNA to run their recruiting, right? That's a normal progression for a recruiter, and I don't think is any big surprise or anything. Not the first recruiter to leave DWS and go to CNA, actually - I know at least two others that have done so (Maureen, and also a guy whose brother was also a DWS recruiter, maybe somebody will help me with his name).

People leave their current employer to go on to other opportunities. It happens.

Well recruiters have much more options. I dont think they are even limited to actuarial or insurance. So I wouldn't be surprised at them moving around. Especially in Chicago, I'm sure it's easy for them to go to an insurer

A large percentage of their employees leave to go work in sitcoms and have cameos in "Captain America: Winter Soldier"
