Default Data Science continuing education/credentials

Hello all,

I am an FCAS with over 10 years of experience in traditional pricing and reserving.

I am looking to expand my horizons and learn more about data science/modeling and my current role has limited opportunity to use modeling or machine learning.

My question is, what course/program would be the best investment of time and money? Is there a coursera class or another online course people liked. I am looking for something beyond just a class and more general than insurance related.

Thanks for your insight.

I'd recommend going with free materials first before going into paid options.

The procedure for most good data science positions are very meritocratic and skill based and involve actually writing code and solving problems with data and modeling. So All that matters is you learn and internalize concepts and are good at coding. You can do that for free
