Default Any Genworth People?

Anyone here have opinions on working at Genworth Financial? There's an opportunity on my radar but I don't know anything about the company.

I have a policy there. They've been downgraded because of all their LTC problems, and bought out by a Chinese company. Until that is done and the staffing implications are sorted out, I don't think I'd jump in.

Regarding the bolded, I believe that sale still hasn't been approved (2 years on or more).

I did a 3-month consulting gig there over a year ago. Great people. Great technology.

I should clarify I know what the company does and to what the job pertains. I'm more interested here in general atmosphere/corporate environment opinions. Not "I didn't like that one guy", but stuff like:
Do they adequately respond to concerns or changing market conditions?
Do they have a tendency towards sweeping things under the rug? (I guess PM me on this one if so).
Is the tech up to current market standards? (current company is a big fat no).

Or other general impressions. I dunno. Surprise me with something I haven't thought of.

Yeah that.

Speaking of...mortgage insurance reserving: interesting or nah? I've never spoken to anyone who's done it so my own observations may be in ignorance anyway.

I used to work for them in Spain and I really liked it. I learnt a lot while working there! However, I do not know about the status of the sale to a Chinese fund though. A part of Genworth was sold to AXA, it depends on whether you mean MI or LPI.
