More on Hurlimann - I'm trying to recreate the tables. In the original paper - I can match the Benktander reserves (top of page 97) just fine. In the "corrected tables" version, it doesn't appear that any of the parameters have changed, but the reserves for the Benktander method are different (table 7.9). Quick search didn't yield anything. Anybody know why this might be?

Yep. I'm debating how much time to spend on Mack before moving on to Venter.

Is it recommended that we go through the syllabus in that order? Just started a few days ago and I'm already confused by Hürlimann.

I'm starting soon. The plan is to use the CF/RF combined seminar package. Has anyone started using these and if so do you have any tips?

Yes. My recommendation is to read the source paper for each section before reading CF (though in most cases CF is good enough). Use RF Cookbook for practicing questions and the high level summaries as review for the key concepts.

IMO, learning objectives 1-3 on the syllabus are less difficult compared learning objectives 4-10 even though they cover approximately the same number of papers. So perhaps plan accordingly in that fashion as you may want more time on the latter.

Brehm can be a bit of a drag and you can be tested extensively on topics that may only be mentioned briefly with little to no examples. I recommend the source material for this and probably several passes. I personally feel like it is a bit of crap-shoot on the exam even though it represents 15-25%. Whether or not to focus more or less time on it is up to you I guess. I suppose I have no good advice for this paper except to get lucky.
