Default June 2016 Exam C Thread

I just passed MFE and I can't wait to pass C next!

I know it's super early, but I'm a slow learner and I will take 2 times the amount of time others need so I'm starting ahead.

Exam Window: June 21-27
Registration Deadline: May 11
Paper and Pencil: June 21

I read couple of recent study threads and it seems like the consensus is that the ADAPT doesn't prepare you for the real exam as it does for MFE (for MFE, the exams were sometimes word for word).
I'm a visual learner and need someone to teach me instead of reading through the manual, so I'm going to subscribe to TIA and purchase Mahler's exams

So who's with me??

I copied this from last year's thread.

? What a scary world this would be.

On the other hand imagine if the SOA could demand a rematch if you win

Congrats on passing MFE! I just passed last Friday as well. Lets knock C out of the park in June! I just ordered my materials today. I'll be studying for that and finishing a VEE the winter session since we have 7 months before the exam.

I have an ASM manual borrowed from a friend, downloaded Finan's free manual, and will make a decision on what to purchase for myself (no reimbursement ) after 1/15/16 when my number -will- be on the candidate passing list for MLC. Do you hear that, SOA? It -will- be on the list!

I'm going to start studying/tracking studying this Friday while it's quiet in my house, because I need lots of time to learn/procrastinate before the exam in June

I've spent the last 2 weekends playing video games, I'm going to be very sad to put pencil to paper again, but this is hopefully my last prelim

Thanks for starting the thread btw I didn't want to do it myself, but I really wanted a thread!

woo hoo! I also just passed MFE and will be looking to likely take exam C in June. A colleague of mine gave me his old C Manual, but I don't plan on cracking it open till the new year!

Good luck with Exam C, my advice is to start early. There is a lot of material and it's especially hard to get through in the beginning, imo. It actually gets interesting around the middle but by that time you're 500 pages in.

I just passed MFE this morning as well, and will likely be joining for C in June! This is also my last prelim so hopefully everything goes off without a hitch
