My update:

The exam is a bit over two months away, and I am finishing chapter 7 in CA's manual on multiple decrements. The book reads fast and gets straight to the point, so I would recommend it to anyone in a pinch for time and doesn't need more than one example on a topic.

The ADAPT questions that require use of the Illustrative Life Table take quite a long time. Part of this is I am brutally slow skimming tables with bunched-up numbers. I have eye tics, which cause me to lose where I am in a table. Wonderful. The other issue is that the ADAPT ILT problems often have you look up a TON of values, just for a single problem. Non-ILT problems are not nearly as much of a time struggle for me -- hopefully they will be more straight forward when I sit for the exam. As always for these exams, it is a RACE!

Strangely, I also don't seem to get responses in the forums at Coaching Actuaries anymore, so I kind of miss that service. I used to get responses within a day. I don't think I've been responded to in perhaps 6 weeks? 2 months? Anyone know what is going on?

I need to finish the remaining 4 chapters so I have an easy month to just do problems. Good luck, others!

Is there a Coaching Actuaries recommended study schedule out there for LTAM? Or for MLC? This will be my last exam and am contemplating taking it in October 2018.. I will be having a rather large life event around that time and am wondering if its possible for me to even attempt this exam or if I should come up with another stratgey to meet work exam sitting requirements. Thanks in advance!

Lux do you think any exam past 2014 is good PE material?

About to finish the videos on reserves on TIA and get to Markov Chains this week. I should really things up. Would 1 month of doing practice exams/problems be good enough or should I leave for more room?

Default Face-to-face seminar to be held

Despite the lowest enrollment I’ve had in over 20 years—probably related to the imminent change in the exam—my face-to-face exam-prep MLC seminar will indeed be held 7 - 11 March; come join the “fun”. For details, see my website http://www.actuarial seminars.com .
