My opinion's become more nuanced than that in recent years, but believe it or not, I still do some actuarial work (not in the traditional sense) from time to time.

Good luck, I know a Swarthmore alum that is an actuary in Philly if you need an alumni connection, and no, it's not me. PM me if you want details.

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words! I have already PMed you Thank you again!

I've been an AO member for five years, but not since the last six or so months has this become my favorite and most frequented site/forum. People like you, Mana, Ronaldy--I can't name everyone! This place is terrific! Thank you!!

When switching companies near an exam-- lets say four months out. How soon is too soon to ask for exam support and membership dues?

Is it socially acceptable to immediately request an $1400 exam study guide a week on the job plus $1000 in membership fees?

Just asking for a friend....

Conditionally, .

I would just ask for a copy of the student program/exam program on day 1. It should be in there or talk to your new manager?
