Passed CPCU 540 today with a strategy of smart app + CPCU textbook that was in work's actuarial library. Not sure how many hours I put in (<30 for sure), but it wasn't too bad.

Taking this after my iFM exam in July (around August or September I guess). Thanks for the guide!

I just ordered my transcript from the institutes to have it sent to the SOA, but on the confirmation email it had my address instead. Did this happen to anyone else? Did they still send it to the SOA?

That did happen to me too, I called and verified and it did still get sent to SOA. So you should be good.

Took notes on bolded terms, did not read book all the much unless the definition was not helpful. Got smart app for $9.99+tax and it was worth it. smart app seemed very similar to real test. Scored in to 70-79% range which is enough to pass. They separate the test into two parts and sometimes questions in Part 2 easily could have been in Part 1. Math was minimal. Exam was very easy and in total I probably did 15 hours or so. I literally 'studied' for 10 days which is way better than the NEAS 8 week course. Highly recommend this route. Though the exam changes starting July 1, so I'm not sure what it will be like going forward.
