If you take a gander at the new tables (which are 1000x better than MLC's), you will see they have included Greenwood's Formula along with Klein's Estimated Variance Formula, which looks like a variance estimator of a survival estimate.

Does anybody know if there's a set of SOA problems (like the SOA 307 for C) for LTAM?

There will be. The latest estimate I've heard is that they will be available by June 30. Of course, the committee previously expected to have them available by the end of March. So who knows?!

Most of the old MLC questions remain valid. Most of the old C/4 questions on survival model estimation by Nelson-Aalen, Kaplan-Meier, actuarial exposure, and exact exposure will be valid for LTAM. But we have to wait to see what samples they will provide on the material that is new to LTAM but not currently on C/4---I've created problems for use in my LTAM seminars, and I'm sure the study-manual authors and TIA have made up many as well, but it will be helpful to see what the "official" sample questions are like.

I have the 15th edition of the MLC ASM manual and plan on using that until I can get my hands on the new LTAM manual in a few months. Anyone have a list of the sections I can completely skip?

I was comparing the table of contents to the latest ASM and here's what was cut from 15th ed, as far as I can tell:

34.1 International Actuarial Reserve Notation (for Prospective Net Premium Reserves)
36 Reserves: Retrospective Formula
41.4 Policy Alterations (Reserves: Other Topics)
62 Interest Rate Risk: Replicating Cash Flows
63 Interest Rate Risk: Diversifiable and Non-Diversifiable Risk
64 Profit Tests: Asset Shares
66 Profit Tests: Participating Insurance
67 Profit Tests: Universal Life
69 Nonmathematical Topics

If I made a mistake or if there's any other sections I missed that I can skip, please let me know!

From the sample it looks like the new sections/chapters in the LTAM manual are 5.3, 10, 46.3, 47, 61.3, 63-69, and 70.1.

CA just added a subsection of new material to its manual.

Anyone knows how to get hold of free material for the LTAM exam?

Have old MLC ASM manual, so will only need the new additions to this exam.

Thanks. I got it. The two links to readings. Is that all that is required to cover newly added topics?
