Given that Tesla has never made an annual profit in the almost 15 years since we have existed, profit is obviously not what motivates us. What drives us is our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable, clean energy, but we will never achieve that mission unless we eventually demonstrate that we can be sustainably profitable. That is a valid and fair criticism of Tesla's history to date.
sounds like he is trying to pump the stock for a secondary offering.

TSLA remains an amazing story.

Elon wants to go private at a valuation of ‘420’

Yep. Tantalizing to watch. They dove right into the deep end and seem to be both incapable of sinking and incapable of swimming.

Or, he could sell his company to the highest bidder, some company that already has economies of scale.
Then, we'll see just how valuable the company is, in real life.

I don't know if I'd call KSA a chump, they're more of an odd mafia sort of group. I think if Tesla can improve the actual bodywork & body design of their cars their electrical systems & batteries are years ahead of their competitors at the moment.

My bet is that KDA is trying to diversify from Oil as much as they can while the getting is good in Oil. If the money in Oil dries up then their hold over the kingdom will weaken. Got to diversity to keep that dynasty afloat, imo.

Plus if they can get the Tesla autonomous driving feature engaged they don't have to worry about who is driving the car.
