Default Beginning my actuarial journey with Exam P

I'm looking for all the advice for people that started with no statistical experience and went on to pass Exam P. Can you guys tell me what exam resources I should purchase and everything they suggest. I know there's a bunch of links on here that discuss similar situations, but I want to hear it for myself. Additionally, if anyone knows of any actuaries in Orlando I would love to be mentored by them. I hope by the end of this journey I know EVERYONE on this discussion board. I'm sooooooo excited to begin this journey.

Don't worry: your opinion will change.

Start by reading ASM thoroughly, it will have detailed instructions and explanations regarding general theory and how to solve exam problems. Afterwards, I recommend purchasing ADAPT exams, it's especially great for beginners since you can calibrate exam difficulty and work your way up. If you're really unfamiliar with the material, I suggest giving yourself about 4 months to prepare.

I suggest you start with changing your favorite beer to something less illegal in the state in which you live.
