Time to start studying MFE for November! I wish there is an option to take the exam in October.

Wow. I make a lot of stupid little arithmetic mistakes when I'm doing binomial tree problems. I mean I completed 10 practice questions and five of them were wrong because I dropped a term or added or multiplied incorrectly. Hope everyone else is experiencing a much better rate of accuracy than me on that section.

I recently passed Exam C in the June sitting and am going to take MFE in November.

I really don't enjoy the derivative material so I think this exam is going to be harder for me than most. With that said, I used ASM/Coaching Actuaries/SOA sample questions for C, is that a good method for MFE as well?

From what I've heard, for MFE the way to go is ASM +ADAPT. The ADAPT questions, according to my research, are much closer to the actual exam and the correlation between ADAPT EL and passing is higher. At very least they should be better than they were for C (I used ADAPT and felt plenty prepared though).

I'll probably be joining you. I'm an idiot, and procrastinated too long. I'll be sitting on the 11th, and right now I only know like 75% of the material, and I haven't taken a practice exam yet (might try to squeeze one in tomorrow, otherwise the sitting will be the first MFE exam I take!).

For everyone here who wants to pass in November...DON'T BE LIKE ME! Procrastination isn't worth it . I am learning this lesson again and again. This is my best advice.
