I'm curious to how your interviews went that lead you to the job and then the joke on the first day. (sorry, not trying to sound mean, just an EL hopeful who has had interviews that I thought went well, but didn't get a follow up).
Well I didn't crack too many jokes in my interviews (thankfully). Also I think they were impressed by my resume and I was a shoo-in cause one of the interviewers (and the important one too) hinted at that during the interview.

EL is a crapshoot. I only ever accepted 2 offers (one internship and one FT job), but I prolly had 8 final interviews total. Both the offers I ended up accepting were interviews that I thought I did poorly at (hesitating and not being confident). I did not get an offer from the company I thought I interviewed best at. Maybe people like unconfident people? idk

Of course there were also interviews I did poorly at that I didn't get offers from.

Better start applying for a new job.

Being without feet has to be the most emotionally trying of all disabilities. When you don't have feet, no matter how hard you try to stay positive, it is literally impossible not to feel de-feeted.

I suppose that you're now going to say that gymnasts and people with artificial lower limbs are far more likely to get a leg up over their competition . . .
