Default Will SOA Exam MFE be obsolete with July 2018 updates?

I am currently studying for the March MFE Exam, but according to the link below, it will soon be part of the ASA requirements no longer. Will passage of this exam have any value after July?

It will count towards the IFM Exam if you pass.
