Thanks! Yay to you, too.

No, I just cut the dose in half a couple of times and then stopped taking it. I'm told that Prozac is one of the easier ones to wean off of, because it has a long biological half life.

I actually cut the dose in half the first time because I was getting unpleasant side effects, so really, I only dropped the dose once to get off it.

i split pills until i couldn't really split them any further. took ~6 weeks iirc

i think lexapro is more difficult to get off of than some

I read that they sometimes give people prozac to help them get off one of the ones that are harder to drop.

I'm not disagreeing with you btw, I think it's a farce; all these mental diseases that can't be cured, but they can be controlled as long as you buy the medication for the rest of your life.

Just take a vacation, play with your kids, get a pet... Do something.
If you're not happy, spend money on something that will make you happy, not in the doctors office.

Okay what do you do about the people who literally dont care about whats going on in their life enough to plan a vacation, play with kids or even want to pick up a pet?

I think you oversimplify the struggle and solution.
