Default FA task 1 - inflation

Should we classify inflation risk as financial, Strategic or insurance risk?

justification for each major category:
Financial: it's related to the unexpected changes in economy
Strategic: I believe Segal's book put it under strategic
Insurance: this is the pricing assumption used in the model.

i would guess financial, because it falls under the definition you just stated.

i'd say financial as well, just be careful on how you define it. i would guess that segal had it under strategic because he bucketed it under 'economic' subcategory, and listed specific items which affect the way a company will have to strategize.

Thanks, I also got confused because Segal's book put inflation under strategic but it feels more financial. I kind of have it covered in a few other risks that are more likely to cause an impact so I don't know that I'll call it out specifically.
