Couldn't see the video, but looked up the story. This has to be a Darwin Award candidate.

Missing Woman Found Dead in Exhaust Duct
Updated: Monday, 27 Jun 2011, 10:02 PM CDT
Published : Monday, 27 Jun 2011, 4:03 PM CDT

Austin Police say the body of missing person Jamie Minor was found in a Perry's Steakhouse exhaust duct at 114 West 7th Street.

Police said there is no evidence to indicate foul play was involved in her death.

Detectives discovered a deceased person in the duct between the first and second floors of the building in an area that was not readily accessible.

Firefighters helped remove the body which officials said appeared to be in the location for several weeks.

Detectives said that physical evidence indicates that she entered the duct on the third floor of the attached parking garage. They said it appears she traveled downward through the duct and became trapped between the first and second floors of the building.

Police said all indications are that she entered the duct on her own and became trapped in an area she could not exit from.

Police also said they have surveillance video showing Minor trying to get into Perry’s Steakhouse that night. She tried to get in through a side door but was unable to do so. After failing to get in, she could be seen walking to the back of the restaurant.

Minor had been missing since May 23 when she was last seen leaving the W Hotel.

Her family said they became concerned when they had not heard from her in over a week.

According to APD Jamie Minor was reported to Bee Caves PD on June 7th but the family was asked to contact APD. That report was made on June 19th.

Friends had put up posters all over the downtown area in an effort to locate her. Then, last Friday Austin Police issued a missing person’s alert for Minor.

Yeah I just read about that. What was she thinking?

Here's another candidate:
Man Killed While Demonstrating Gun Safety
Quote:
Lee County sheriff's deputies say a Sanford man shot and killed himself while showing friends the safety of his new gun.

Deputies say the death of 23-year-old Randall Trent Butler was an accident.

Capt. Jeff Johnson says there is nothing to indicate foul play.

Johnson says some friends were in Butler's girlfriend's home when he showed them the safety features of his .22-caliber pistol.

The captain says Butler showed them the safety and how the gun would not fire. Johnson says after Butler pulled the trigger and it didn't fire, he showed them the slide action, put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger again.

Johnson says Butler apparently failed to re-engage the safety.

Yeah, and I read a Darwin Award of somebody getting really angry with a vending machine that didn't dispense the candybar -- he shook the machine so violently that it fell and crushed him.

My favorite is the man who became sterile while attempting to steal live lobsters from a grocery store by stuffing them down his pants.
