Sounds like he was the pilot.

Multiple twitter reports offering condolences to Roy Halladay's family.

RIP

Where does Shohei Otani go? Hard to know what his priorities are. Does he want to DH? Or bat 3 times every start and pinch hit other days?

I'm guessing he goes to the AL so he can DH three or four games, rest a day, then pitch. That is what his current regimen is, and it seems the most efficient use of all his abilities.

In the NL, he'd have to play the field somewhere, 1B probably so as not to wear out his legs. Then, he could pitch his one day, and double-switch with the 1B to stay on the field for another AB.

So no real path for him to sign with the Cubs

Dodgers want him, but have the same issue, as they aren't getting rid of Bellinger that flippantly. Unless Bellinger plays LF, which leads to a bunch of other decisions.

Probably Yankees. Maybe Mariners, 'cause shorter flight home.

Nope, almost no chance he is going to the Cubs. There is also the fact that the cubs have almost no money to spend on international signings as well.

Dude says he isn't interested in the money, which would be a shit-ton more in two years if he waits until then.

sbnation's take:

And their controversial predictions:

I like the possibility of hitting AND relieving.

There are rumors that MLB is going to drop the hammer on the Braves with some stiff penalties: fines, restrictions on international signings, loss of prospects.
