Now I'm really questioning its accuracy.

My #4 spot (267 days) is somewhere I don't recognize, but it's within a half mile of somewhere I used to live. The house I lived in isn't even in my timeline.

Separately, I used to ride the train to work. My work site is listed at #2 and the train station is #8, at about 1/4 of the number of days as my work site. I took the train to work at least 99% of the time.

Yeah it is not as accurate as you'd think, it's guessing from cell towers and places others have identified a lot, not using real GPS.

I have a red dot at a hotel in Minneapolis. I have never been to Minneapolis, so that was quite surprising. Recognized all the other spots. My #30 is at 13 days, and is a store near my house

So if you click on the dot you can see which day it was, and the times you were at places. I guess one day in 2015 google thinks I flew from my city to Minneapolis, stayed there for three hours, and then flew back home. Anyone know what would cause it to think I was there?

Usually it's a store with multiple locations, it gets the store's wifi, doesn't understand the locations, so tags you there somewhat magically.

You should know that these data are not for you. They are for Google. Doesn't have to be accurate at this level.
