I didn't remember the formula (feel kind of dumb about that, if I'd glanced at my formula sheet right before the exam I'd have known it), but I felt like I was able to solve the problem w/o too much trouble anyway. Probably this is because I did it totally wrong though.




For the one question with the Quadratic Equation... my mind went blank and I couldn't remember it, had to derive it which was an entertaining way to spend a few minutes, at least

for me, quadratic equation = guess and check. luckily it didn't take long to get close enough

yeah. literally just put a note that says "used guess and check to get final result". I was dumb and started a bit high though since i forgot the numbers were monthly and i was inputting annual rates for guess and check.

I made a mistake in calculating P% when applying the formula -- I think I would have been better off just calculating the savings from first principles

I actually took two pages to answer this problem because I listed out every single cash flow w/ dates and a payment counter, just to make absolutely sure I didn't mess this up
