Default December 2016 FM exam, can I pass and get an internship??

Hey guys, Im a junior in college (Math major) and I am studying for FM to take in December. That gives me about 2.5 months to prepare. I plan on studying about 15 hours a week. I got the ASM manual!

My question being

1) Has anyone passed with 2.5 months of studying while being a full time student and involved on campus? If so what did you do? How did you do it?

2) Its my junior year so I really need a internship this summer but I wont have an exam until mid December (hoping I pass). Do companies still recruit after December? Im a math major with a 3.2 gpa, Marketing Chair of a club, Photographer of the yearbook, Worked at a non profit over the summer and went abroad the summer before to teach ESL to kids. Im not sure what I should do. This internship hunt is really confusing to me.

Thanks in advance for helping!
