I don't have a Pixel but I use Google keyboard and it seems to me like swiping has gotten worse over the last few months. It's the only way I type, but it gives me lots of mistakes. I know it is probably that I'm sloppy, but I wish they would put their AI genius into the swiping.

I've noticed that if it makes a mistake and you notice it right away it gives you other reasonable options that you could have swiped - like maybe you hit the letter next to the one you wanted. But if you notice the mistake a couple words later, the suggested options are close to the mistaken word, like it thinks it was a normal spelling error and not a swipe error.

Anyone else notice this?
Suggestions?
I mean aside form being careful, I'm not going to do that.

I suddenly have a persistent 'Android System - 2 apps are running in the background' message on my Google Pixel XL. I can't get rid of the notification - only snooze it for 2 hours.

Is there a way to get rid of this without downloading an app?

No, unfortunately. You'll need this, no root required:
