Default 2019 NFL Football Discussion

Whatev's, Pats.

On to the new season!

Is it too early? ESPN never thinks so.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...offseason-poll

80 people were polled. Some might know something about football.
Man, people are already not believing in the Pats. Got them at 4th. Can't wait for Brady's three-word response to this.

Bunch of dates to note on your calendars:

Well, they aren't "true odds." Just a shitload of money coming in on the Browns and this particular sports book is adjusting for it.

So what's the best value at the bottom, those with 10k or worse? I'd go with Raiders. Although they are at best 2 years away IMO, they are likely to make the boldest moves this offseason to make up for the disaster 2018 roster moves, so risk reward.

There might be a book out there that will give you odds on a Raider Super Bowl win in one of any multiple years.
Not sure why anyone would waste money on 2019 only, though.

Also, if there were a way to "sell back" your bet based on changing odds (more like a futures purchase), that would be more prudent.

2019 Prop Betting game: Where do the Raiders play?
I'll need to figure out some odds for these.

In order of distance from current location:
  1. Oakland
  2. Cal-Berkeley (not sure why this is never discussed in stories)
  3. Oracle Stadium (where the place SF Giants play is now called)
  4. Stanford in Palo Alto
  5. Levi Stadium, Santa Clara
  6. San Jose State University
  7. Fresno (nobody goes to Fresno anymore!!)
  8. Nevada - Reno
  9. Rose Bowl/Coliseum/StubHub/Dodger Stadium/Angels Stadium in SoCal
  10. Jack Murphy Stadium San Diego
  11. Sam Boyd Stadium, Las Vegas
  12. Arizona Cardinals Stadium
  13. Mexico City
  14. London
  15. All on the road

I thought it was already announced as AT&T park so I'll place $1MM AO on that.

Edit: of course that fell through.

Issue I've heard with SF Giants Park is that both teams would be on the same sideline.
And, somehow, even though Oakland's current stadium is closer (bird-fly) to Giants park than the 49er's current stadium, Niners can nix the deal, just because. it's "their" territory. Guessing the same goes for anything on the peninsula side, like Stanford and San Jose.

Make them play at Oakland University.
