Someone please fix the thread title! Unless we're talking about the season where KD actually plays again.

Wow, I just noticed that!

Or, OP can change his post:
"Normally I'd wait until next year's finals are over..."

IDK about that but this is the year Bird right kick in for GSW/KD and I've heard all along that GSW can offer him the most money and were planning to do so prior to the injury. Whether or not he would have taken it prior to the injury only KD knows as all the rumors were KD to Knicks was done deal. If they offer him max money for 5 years with the injury, gotta think that would be very tempting to KD.

OP can use thread tools to move to different sub forum, change title, and move back. I think.

Sorry about that with the title.
Fixed, but the default is set to leave a permanent redirect.
Oh well. It'll drop of by aging out of the viewed list soon enough.

I assumed the original thread title was intended, like he's def out till then. The "wait till after Finals" didn't make sense then of course.

He will opt in for Warriors.
But they can get KD, a lottery pick and try for another FA next year to play with KD and the lottery pick.

The off-season is just a game away. Plenty of time to heal then.
I think most of what that post means is that you are really, REALLY old.

That is why I always use the reef as my move destination just in case I mess up when I move it back.

What player? Weíve seen tons of players sacrifice multiple years by going/staying with crap teams for max money. This isnít really different.

Lakers signed Kobe to two year extension after injury keeping him highest paid player in league. He was already 35. Teams do weird stuff. This isnít really different.

More importantly can the Lakers get the banana boat team together?
Lebron - check
Wade - FA and just moved to LA
Carmelo - FA
CP3 - Houston trade that contract for pennies on the dollar.

So lets see:

Lebron - worth his contract
Wade - worth veterans minimum
Carmelo - not worth veterans minimum
CP3 - on a long contract that pays him at least 2X his value (given injury issues)

So why would they want to do this again?
