I am in a similar boat as you. I have some modules to work on, then will switch to PA for December.

I'm planning on hopping on this boat as well! Was hoping to start the second half of September after I finish the IA.

I'm probably going to start studying in mid-August. I'm hoping to finish up modules in the next few weeks

I would like to do PA exam in December but I am now studying for LTAM which is on October 25. It would let me 7 weeks to study. I have prior knowledge of R because we used almost only R in my degree, but I don't know how much I would need to study. However, I could start the PA study a little bit before because I think I will finish LTAM study a couple of weeks before the exam date. I don't really know what should I do.

The registration fee covers module access for a year and your first sitting. If you purchase the modules in September/October and then don't feel ready for the December sitting by the registration deadline, you can wait and register for the Summer 2020 sitting instead.

I'm in for the December sitting as well! Should be my last requirement for ASA, assuming I pass FA.

SOA has the exam dates as Dec 12-13 - does anyone know if we can be sure that we'll be sitting on the 12th? I am planning a flight for the very next day and want to be totally sure I won't have to sit for PA on the 13th instead.
