2) FEM sounds pretty dead after the letter from Mercer
3) There is still the ABCD investigation into Tom Bakos' complaint. As Tom alluded, we won't know the outcome unless there is public "discipline", but that is still a possibility from what I understand.
Not really for (2) because our current SOA PE mentioned he would like to have another form of FEM to exempt Exam P only instead of all other prelims. The ghost is still haunting us!

We have not seen the end of this. There are other outstanding 'issues' that took a back seat while the AAA/Schobel lawsuit took center stage.

We may not get as many details about those issues if they are pursued as I think they will be, but this saga still has legs........

So we know the SOA has paid out $$$.

The AAA settled, and may have paid out $$$.

Who is next? CIA? CAS? This hasn't been a good time for actuaries.

Since Bruce has now acknowledged that he is not PE, but he did settle, we can only assume that he accepted a pile of money. (Why else would he settle?) Not sure if we'll ever find out how big that pile is, although I'm guessing that since the Sanford thing came out... this one will too - just a matter of when.

This ought to be an axiom of the 21st century and the internet age. Why do so few actuaries over 40 get it?

And don't get me started on the "professional communicators" hired by the CAS, the SOA and the AAA.

Thanks. It has been a long time since I saw that, and didn't recognize it.

I'm surprised. Well Ok not really that surprised. Wasn't it all the rage when the SOA created their forums?

I know that was along time ago and you are . Well probably any of us that can remember Compuserv are (and yes I remember it, good old actuaries online), so I should probably just be quiet now.
