It's 2020, if you haven't figured out how to do that on the internet by now, you're probably old enough to be at serious risk of dying from COVID-19.

Going somewhere in May, not sure exactly where, but somewhere warm. Hoping to find a good deal with the scare.

I have 2 friends that are going on a cruise over spring break in a couple weeks. I personally would be leery going on one of those because all it might take is one person on board with a fever/cough and you are going to be sitting on that damn boat for 2-3 weeks.

Any first hand reports from airports?

News reports say a sudden drop off in passengers

Quote:
“There are dramatically fewer people flying this week than there were last week,” said Nicholas E. Calio, chief executive of Airlines for America, a trade organization. “Flights are being taken down because people aren’t getting on airplanes.”

I just flew through Houston and Denver on Monday and Wednesday. My flights were both full, and there was decent foot traffic in the airport. My parents just flew from Chicago O’Hare to Florida yesterday and said it was relatively empty though.

My girlfriend and I have a trip to Mexico at the end of the month. As of now, no way I’d cancel, but I’m going to monitor the situation in case the risks change. She has a minor autoimmune disorder, so we can’t just call it a bad flu.

We are going to NOLA area for Spring Break. No plans to cancel. If the EA meeting doesn’t get cancelled at the end of the month, I’ll go to that too. I have hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in my bag.

I was planning on sending two kids on an educational tour of Europe in May. We’ve elected to put that off til next year. I was also planning to send my oldest to the UK to visit her sister but may not do that now. Both of these are mainly because I want them to be able to sightsee freely and not be restricted on where they can go. No sense in spending money to have them end up quarantined somewhere.

Wife was at the airport today. She said it was less crowded, and there were a number of people wearing masks.

I’m going to CO this week, and UT in a few weeks.

I’m still on for Japan in April at the moment, but am thinking that trip may get canceled
