I do most of my playing in the morning, before I leave for work. My spouse is still in bed, so I'm all alone. It's my time to "charge up" for the day, and feed my inner introvert.

Turns out it's not optimal to spend my charging-up time getting all stressed out... It's fine as long as most everything else in my world is rolling along fairly smoothly... but when it's been in upheaval and change (as it's been for the last year and a half), I just don't want to add a video game that gets me a bit aggro to the mix.

Did you ever play Ori and the Blind Forest? I loved that game, but oh man, getting out of the tree was such a pain. I think I died 200 times before I did it. It's halfway through the game, and it was the hardest level of the whole thing. Everything after that is much easier.

I've never even heard of it. But if part of it involves getting out of a tree... it might be pretty interesting!

Cyberpunk 2077 available for preorder. Keanu Reeves with cameo in new trailer, FWIW. Only question, GOG or Steam?

And it had taken me so long (and so many deaths) to finally get the bell-keepers, I really really thought I was further along in the game. Then the firekeeper disappeared, I looked online and found out I was something like a quarter through the game...

I'll get back to it eventually.
I hate to break it to you, but 25% is... a bit high.

I remember thinking I must be near the end after I rang the 2nd bell and opened that gate. Damn I'm now remembering just how big that game was.

The short list

It was my GoY for 2015, and the sequel is coming out next year. The story is good, and the gameplay is good too.

In the scene I'm talking about, you are inside a hollowed out tree, and it is filling with water, and you have to chain about 50 dashes in a row to get out of the tree before you drown.

So excited for this!

I'm guessing that since its a sequel (can reuse a lot of assets), it might be able to be made quicker that normal. Perhaps a 2021 release?!?
