yeah it's a lot of fun. you can also try an aggro Warlock deck with lots of aggressive, efficient minions, which works really well with the hero power (probably the best one in the game).

I still enjoy arena, personally, constructed has never been my bag in CCGs. the Tavern Brawls are extremely fun when you're a bit more experienced with the game, also.

i like the tavern brawls that don't require pre-made decks. it's a good way for people like me, with crappy cards, to get daily quests done on a more level playing field.

yeah, I vastly prefer the brawls that don't require deck construction. I usually just end up making hunter midrange decks and playing for a pack when you have to construct.

You guys hear of the 100 in 10 challenge? It's where you try to get 100 wins within 10 consecutive runs in Arena. Some guy might actually beat it:

I've reached a pretty frustrating part. I think I have the basics of the game down pretty well, and I'm up to level 17 in ranked. But it seems like I'm running into a bunch of buzzsaws. Every third match or so, I will face a deck full of cards I don't have, which obviously work extremely well together, and I just don't stand a chance. When I play against people who seem to have the same level of cards I do, I do very well.

I guess there's nothing else to do except keep playing until I get more cards, or play Arena, which I don't like because it's too random.

What deck are you running? I started last month, bought naxx before it left. I got to level 10 in my first season with zoolock. Only needs like a thousand dust.

this reddit post looked like a pretty good overview - check out some of the resources and see if any are helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone...o_get_into_hs/

check the comments - there's a guide to some of the unique one-time gold-granting quests that you may not have knocked out yet (defeat all expert AIs is one that some people miss, for example)

it's definitely a slog to get cards as a new player, but there may still be a couple resources you can use to speed things up a bit.

But yea, I was laddering with a basic mage deck. Then at around level 18 I was playing someon. I had taken control, used all my resources to get my opponent to just 2 life, dead with just a couple of hero power activations. Then he played a card I had never seen before... Reno Jackson.

That's when I said enough of this f2p shit, bought naxx, which is fun in its own right, dusted the crap legends, and built zoolock.
