I just passed FM last week and I want to sit for November, but I'm not sure if I am leaving myself enough time to go through all the material. If I take one of the later dates I will have about 15 weeks, which is about how long I spent on FM, but it seems like this one covers a lot more material. Am I better off just waiting?

You can use the attached sample study schedule to help decide whether you are able to allocate study time as suggested. This will be a good starting point.

I don't have much to offer on this topic seeing as how I haven't even sat for the exam yet...

besides what works for one person doesn't necessarily work well for others

Is the first day we can register for IFM August 28th? I can't remember if it's 6 or 8 weeks before the registration deadline.

6 weeks before the deadline according to the SOA Website. So August 28th looks right to me

In ASM IFM 1st ed 2nd p :

Quiz 9.1 says allocation was 50/50 equity/debt and 30 will be invested. Then the solution went on to say 30 was invested in debt and 30 in equity. Wouldn't it be 15/15? Please refer and clarify.

Note: In the example above the quiz, the allocation was 15/15. How is the quiz different?

I do fix the investment to 30 at the end by scaling it down. Doing it your way, you'd end up with 15 equity 15 debt, then lend 7.5, then find that only 22.5 is invested so scale it up by 4/3 to get 20/10, the same as the solution shown.

Question

Starting to gain steam with studying. For anyone who failed MFE (that would be me): did you go back and relearn MFE material; or did you strictly learn corporate finance concepts and then take practice exams, assuming prior MFE knowledge?
