Default Guidewire

Has anyone here gone through a guidewire implementation?

In particular, how easy/difficult was data retrieval? I'm not directly involved with ours, so I'm assuming I'm missing something. However, when I ask simple questions like "when will we be able to get quote data that we can rerate" or "when can i get a transaction level experience file with policy characteristics, losses, and exposures", I get blank stares like this isn't possible.

Comments, warnings, anything would be helpful.

We recently upgraded Guidewire from 7 to 9. Process went well, but we are definitely seeing some data issues in terms of having to do a lot of workarounds to get the needed info. I'm assured this will be rectified, but so far, it's been a huge PITA.

FWIW, we are monoline WC, and apparently Guidewire is much better for other lines of business, they just haven't fully cracked WC yet.

I work for personal lines insurer. From what I've heard GW is more geared towards Commercial Lines.

Since I'm not directly involved in the implementation, I can't really tell if its GW, my company, or the consulting company working on the install.

I would agree they are more commercial lines (excluding WC) focused. That's the other thing with GW, you need a systems integrator (the consulting firm you mentioned), so your experience is highly dependent on the integrator, almost moreso than GW.
