One of our pan lids has been missing the knob for a couple of years.

A couple of weeks ago, I made one.

No lathe.

A chunk of walnut, a nail with string for semi-roundness, a jigsaw to cut it out, and my disc sander.

Finished with Vaseline.

Most importantly, it works.

The set up is impressive, but I don't find the finished product terribly interesting.

Very nice. I've been wanting to turn something again. I want to try to find some time in the not so distant future...
