Yes, I stand corrected. Here is the official description of when notification will be received:

Quote:
You will need 517 petitions from Eligible Voting Members to secure a place on the ballot. Updates to those seeking petitions will be sent at 14 days before, 7 days before and at the close of the petition period stating whether they have attained the required level of support.
However, as I recall from last year the data sent 14 and 7 days before the end of the voting period will not contain voting data actually through the day sent. There is a counting lag. So, for example, the vote count sent 14 days before the end of the voting period may only contain data through 17, 16, or 15 days before the end - depending upon how efficient directvote is in collecting this data and how quickly the SoA disseminates it to candidates.

Jim:

Good luck to you - more than half-way there! Together with my count, a total of 483 have so far voted. Last year, over 800 voted. So, theoretically, there are, at least, another 300 votes out there.

If you make it to the ballot, I, certainly, will vote for you (if, of course, I am not on the ballot too) and hope others will also vote for a candidate selected by EVMs.

You can have a tremendous impact on improving the profession if you remain as independent a thinker as I have seen you to be.

I, too, will vote for Tom or Jim, if either one gets on the ballot. I have nothing against the "establishment" candidates this year, but we need to get some fresh thinking in there -- and send a message to the powers that be.

Default I have been informed that I am now on the ballot for President Elect

Subject to final confirmation, I have been notified that I will be on the ballot for SOA President Elect.

My candidate information will be out on the SOA website shortly (probably next week) and I will be in Chicago, August 7th, for both the Interactive Leader Session with the President Elect Candidates as well as the taping of the President Elect Candidate messages.
